Apparently, showing the face behind the website and the words can work wonders. Why would it not? People want reality. And they also want it given to them straight on and without much effort on their part. Hence, video marketing.

Making a video to put in your site is just as easy as writing content or using flash images. The only difference is that people prefer to watch and listen rather than read and wait for images to load. People love videos! Youtube is proof of that.

You would really be missing out on a lot of things if you are not using video marketing. It is really not that difficult. All you have to do is remember some important guidelines and you will be one step closer to that Youtube success.

Length of the video.

Videos are made to get your message across. They are not created to put your viewers to sleep. The length of your video should be just be long enough to explain your purpose, trigger on the needs of the viewers and make them want to know more.

Value is the most important thing in video marketing. It is not about the Armani suit you are wearing, or that killer smile you have. It is the content that matters. Your video should help more than impress people. Keep in mind that this is all about marketing and not a competition.

Put yourself in your viewer’s shoe when editing your video. Think how you can still improve the video before you place it on your website or send it out to your customers or potential clients.

Manual or automatic video.

There are videos that start automatically when opened. There are also those that still needs to be clicked on by the viewers before it begins playing. These are some of your video choices.

Playing automatically is a time-saver. Your viewer does not have to search for the play button in order to watch the video. You only have to allot a certain amount of time before the video starts so your viewers will not miss out on anything.

Videos that needed to be clicked on to play gives viewers the option of watching the video instantly or not. There are those that check the website out or read contents first before watching any uploaded video.

Both of these are good choices. You are just given the option which one to use. You can check out some video samples online before making your choice. What others have already done will make your decision easier.

Video presentation.

Casual or formal? How should you look like in your video?

Consider what your video is all about. You should be the one adjusting to you video and not the other way around. What you look like can affect in trying to get the message across. Looking like you just got out of bed is a definite no-no.

This decision is up to you. Just try not to look unprofessional and unrealistic. Speak in a concise and clear manner.

You are representing yourself and your business. And viewers will come up with their conclusion based on your video. Make sure all of them are good conclusions.
Smile, tell your story and increase your profit. This is video marketing at work.

When it comes to promoting your online business (MLM, Network Marketing, Direct Sales or Home Based Business), most entrepreneurs don’t have a clue what they are doing. There either new to the whole game or they were never taught how to do it the right way. Most of them were taught to get their friends and family involved, buy leads and pitch them, throw home parties and/or tell everyone three feet from you about your opportunity. If you truly want longevity in this industry and your serious about being successful. As an entrepreneur, you need to tap into the largest market in the world. That market is the internet. If you are not marketing your business on the internet you’re setting yourself up to fail. Now I know the internet is scary. However if you take the time to learn a different marketing technique every week, you will succeed. One marketing technique that is sure to make your business explode and drive tons of traffic to your site is video marketing.

Video marketing is a very powerful marketing tool. People would rather watch a video over reading an article. Television and movies are more popular and reach a wider demographic then books or newspapers. 

What does the demographic look like? (according to YouTube)

-71% Employed, 15% are students
-Median Income $75,000
-Almost 50% are married
-70% are college educated That is a GREAT audience!

Now you’re probably asking yourself. Wow, that’s great, but how can my online home business benefit from video marketing.

Video marketing is a quick an easy marketing technique that works. There are only a few things you need to get started.

1. A video camera / Webcam
-I highly recommend the Flip HD camcorder: shoots get video and affordable
-On a budget, get a webcam for as low as $35 from Best Buy.

2. Good Lighting
-Always make sure you do a short test video to ensure that people can actually see you in your video

3. Appropriate Background
-You want the words in your video to match what people are seeing. For example, if your video talks about the awesome lifestyle you’ve achieved with your business. Make what people are seeing convey the same message.
-Background should look tidy and not distracting. No unmade beds, pizza boxes or beer cans

4. A Great Topic
-The topic should be about subjects people are interested in

Now that you have the equipment, you’re ready to get started making your video. Here is an easy to follow video outline.

1.  Powerful Opening Statement including “Problem” that you have solved. (For example, the top reasons people start a home business)
(1 Minute on this)

-Get out of Debt (credit cards, loans, mortgage)
-Break free from rat-race (hate boss, hate corporate grind)
-Spend more time with family (never see kids, spouse)
-Financial freedom (more money, increase wealth)
-No purpose to life (boring job, feeling worthless, unapprieciated)
Remember – Your reasons will resonate with others!

2.  Your Background and how you came to this point
(1 Minute on this)

-Where you are from
-Your job (what you do, how long, what you like/dislike about it)
-Your family (spouse, kids, pets)
-Your interests & hobbies

3. The Solution You Have Found (To the Problem)
(1 Minute on this)

-Start part Time and break free from job & reach executive level income within   90 days
-Work 2-3 hours per day around job, kids etc
-Automated marketing system that works 24/7 while you sleep (Amazing time leverage)
-Professional training, so you know EXACTLY what you’re doing!
-Remember to sell the HOLE not the DRILL

4.   Call To Action (Qualify, Sift & Influence)

Your overall video should be no longer than 5 minutes. Most people lose interest after 5 minutes, so keep it short and to the point.

When making and editing your video. Don’t get caught up in making it perfect or you will never get started. Just get it going. You will progress faster by failing forward.

The last decade has seen a constant increase in the number of Internet users all over the world. In North America alone, there were more than 300 million going online as of 2008, a 132.5% increase from year 2000 according to a world Internet usage survey by the Internet World Stats. This translates to over 70% penetration for consumer opportunities. Over the past years, more and more companies have started incorporating online promotions into their business marketing plans with more than half of marketing budgets spent for the Internet.

Increasing prevalence of online video ads

It’s only understandable that Internet marketing would grow beyond the use of mere images and text content. These days, the use of videos to promote products and services is fast gaining popularity. Marketers are starting to tap into the potential of online video ads as effective promotional vehicles. Video marketing is a new strategy but it is showing a lot of promise.

Advertisers now use online videos to reach their target audience. And based on surveys, this ad format appears to be more effective than other online promotional tools when it comes to presenting a clear message.

Consumer perception of video campaigns

Studies by Dynamic Logic suggest that consumers are now more receptive to video marketing campaigns. Originally, advertisers simply transferred their TV commercials on the Internet but soon they started seeing the importance of creating more compelling clips that are specifically made for the online medium, leveraging its influence and power to entice sales conversions.

In a survey on the effectiveness of video campaigns by the Feed Company, it was found that majority of its respondents where pleased with the results of this marketing strategy, with brand engagement being one of its prime benefits. According to many companies, online video advertising has resulted to as much as a 40% increase in sales for various products and services.

New technologies for video marketing

Videos are engaging and that makes them effective in getting a user’s attention. The development of the latest technologies such as faster Internet connections, new image production and editing techniques, and more advanced software has allowed video clips published online to play instantly and offer high-quality sound and images.

Related applications for video marketing

Video marketing now figures as an indispensable tool in various online promotional efforts including sales presentations, product demos and press briefings. It is also now popularly used for internal communications and even for recruitment.

The thing about video marketing is it continues to be more cost-effective as the expenses incurred for producing and sharing videos on the Internet become even lower as technologies develop.

Suffice to say, online video marketing is definitely here to stay. In the coming years, more advertisers will warm up to the idea of incorporating the strategy into their campaigns. Websites will use videos as one of the most important elements that will make their own pages stand out from competing brands and products. With search engines such as Google developing a universal search method, even videos will become crucial tools for establishing online popularity through search engine marketing.
